Youth Summer Camp

June 20-22, 2011

Peoria Fencing Academy is offering for the sixth year with huge success, a summer fencing camp open to advanced fencers.  Fencers will be divided into groups depending upon their age and skill levels.

 

Coaches

Elsayed Emara - Camp Director, Foil, Epee and Saber Head coach at Peoria Fencing Academy. Coach Emara is an internationally recognized coach with over 14 years of coaching experience

Matt Maughan - Assistant coach at PFA. Matt started fencing at Illinois Central College and since then has devoted himself to the sport. Coach Matt has a natural talent for teaching the sport of fencing.

Facility

Our fencing camp will take place at our academy, which is conveniently located at
7726 N. Pioneer Lane
Peoria IL, 61615

Hours & Programs

Fencing camp will start each morning at 9:00 am and end at 2:00 pm. Lunch will be from 11:00-12:00 a.m. Campers should bring their own drinks, snacks, and lunches.

Daily training and individual instructions will be geared to help the fencers’ fundamental physical and tactical skills. Extensive electrical bouting will take place each afternoon and coaches will provide feedback on technique and strip strategy.

Camp will end on Friday at 2.00pm.

Camp Fee for Members:

Members:$175, Non Members: $195

Musketeers Summer Camp

July 12-15 2011

Peoria Fencing Academy is offering a summer fencing camp designed for our Musketeers and any other children ages 5-8 who are interested in learning about fencing.

 

Coaches

We play fun games that develop coordination, balance, speed, sportsmanship, along with blade work and footwork.
